Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Covenant Breaker ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application on Android and iOS devices.

Summary

Covenant Breaker is a single-player arcade shoot-em-up. We respect your privacy and have designed the app to collect as little data as possible:

• No advertising - the app contains no ads, no ad network, and no advertising identifier is collected or used
• No account required - you can play immediately without signing up
• No personal data collected by us - we don't ask for your name, email, or any personal information, and we operate no servers that store your data
• Anonymous gameplay analytics - we use a third-party analytics service to understand how the game is played (see "Analytics" below); no crash or performance reporting is enabled
• Gameplay saved on your device - progress, scores, settings and purchases stay local to your device
• Fully playable offline - a network connection is only used for optional leaderboards and achievements, and to complete a purchase
• Optional Google Play Games / Game Center - if you sign in, scores and achievements are shared with that service, as described below
• Purchases handled by the store - Google or Apple processes payment; we never see or store your payment details

Information Collection

Covenant Breaker does not directly collect or transmit personal information to our own servers. The app:

• Does not require user registration or login to play
• Does not collect names, email addresses, or contact information
• Does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or other device data
• Does not track your location, precise or approximate
• Does not contain any advertising software
• Does not use crash reporting or performance monitoring
• Uses anonymous gameplay analytics, described in the "Analytics" section below

The app stores the following on your device only:

• Game progress and best scores
• Which chapter packs you own
• Settings such as difficulty, music and sound volume, control-side preference, screen shake and display options
• Tutorial progress and any unlocked display modes
• An in-progress run, so a game interrupted by your device can be resumed

This information never leaves your device except as described in the two sections below. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

No Advertising

Covenant Breaker contains no advertisements of any kind. No advertising software is included in the app, no advertising identifier is read, collected, or shared, and there is no ad-related data collection to disclose. The app is supported entirely by optional in-app purchases of chapter packs.

Analytics

Covenant Breaker uses GameAnalytics, a third-party analytics service, to understand how players engage with the game so we can balance difficulty and improve the experience. This is separate from advertising - GameAnalytics does not serve ads and this data is not used for ad targeting.

What is collected:

• Gameplay events - such as level completions and retries, weapon and loadout choices, settings changes, boss encounters, bonus round outcomes, session length, and progress through the in-app purchase flow
• General device information - platform, OS version, device model and manufacturer, and app version, used to understand what devices to support
• An anonymous, randomly-generated identifier created the first time you play, used only to distinguish one player's events from another's

What is not collected: your name, email, or any other personal information; your device's advertising ID; your precise or approximate location; and no screen recordings, screenshots, or session replays are captured. The identifier used is not an advertising ID, is not linked to your Google Play Games or Game Center account, and cannot be used to identify you personally. It resets if you uninstall and reinstall the app.

This data is sent to GameAnalytics' servers and is not sold or shared with anyone other than GameAnalytics acting as our data processor. There is currently no in-app setting to opt out of this analytics collection.

Google Play Games Services (Android) and Game Center (iOS)

Covenant Breaker integrates with Google Play Games Services on Android and Game Center on iOS to provide leaderboards and achievements. These features are optional - the game is fully playable without signing in.

If you are signed in with a Google account (Android) or an Apple ID (iOS), the following is shared with that service:

• Leaderboard scores - your run score, submitted to the leaderboard for the difficulty and starting point you played
• Achievement progress - which achievements you have unlocked

This data is associated with your Google or Apple account and is governed by that company's privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive a copy of it, and we do not link it to any other information.

If a score or achievement is earned while your device is offline, it is held on your device and submitted the next time the app has a connection and you are signed in. Nothing is transmitted while you are offline.

You can manage this data through your device's Google settings or by visiting play.google.com/games, and through Game Center in your iOS settings.

In-App Purchases

Covenant Breaker offers optional in-app purchases that unlock additional chapter packs. The base game is free to play.

• Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing on Android and the App Store on iOS.
• We never see, receive, or store your payment details. Card numbers, billing addresses and similar information are handled by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies and are never transmitted to us.
• What the app stores is a simple record on your device of which packs you own, so your purchased content is available when you play.
• "Restore Purchases" asks the store to confirm what you have already bought so your content can be restored on a new device or after reinstalling. This exchange is between your device and the store.

Refunds and billing questions are handled by the store you purchased from - Google Play or the App Store - according to their policies.

Children's Privacy

Covenant Breaker is a general-audience game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app contains no advertising, and the analytics described above do not collect personal information from any user regardless of age - only anonymous gameplay events tied to a random identifier, not a name, account, or contact information. If a child signs in to Google Play Games or Game Center, that sign-in and the associated data are governed by Google's or Apple's policies and by the family controls those platforms provide.

Data Security and Retention

All game content and progress are stored locally on your device. We operate no servers that store your personal data, so we retain no personal data about you. Any data shared with Google or Apple through Play Games Services, Game Center, or a purchase is managed by those companies and subject to their security practices and data-retention policies.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. Because Covenant Breaker stores game data only on your device, you can exercise that control directly: clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes everything stored locally. For data held by Google or Apple through Play Games Services, Game Center, or a purchase, please use their privacy tools or contact them directly. You may also contact us using the details below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. If we ever introduce advertising or any other new form of data collection, this policy will be updated before that change ships. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
