Summary

WoofIQ is a dog breed trivia game. We respect your privacy and have designed the app to collect as little data as possible:

• No account required - You can play immediately without signing up
• No personal data collected - We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal information
• No analytics - We don't track how you use the app
• Local notifications only - Optional daily reminders are scheduled entirely on your device; no data is sent to any server
• Ads are shown - We use Google AdMob to display advertisements
• Play Games Services - On Android, your scores and achievements are shared with Google Play Games Services when signed in

Information Collection

WoofIQ does not directly collect or transmit personal information to our own servers. The app:

• Does not require user registration or login
• Does not collect names, email addresses, or contact information
• Does not access your contacts, photos, or other device data
• Does not track your location
• Stores gameplay data (scores, streaks, achievements, daily challenge completions, share counts) locally on your device
• Stores your notification preference (enabled/disabled) locally on your device
• Shares gameplay data with Google Play Games Services when signed in (see below)

Third-Party Advertising

WoofIQ displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use data to provide personalized advertising. This data collection is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Information that Google AdMob may collect includes:

• Device identifiers (such as advertising ID)
• IP address
• General location (country/region level, not precise location)
• App usage data related to ad interactions

Google Play Games Services

WoofIQ integrates with Google Play Games Services to provide achievements, leaderboards, and player profiles. On Android devices with a Google account, sign-in occurs automatically.

When signed in, the following gameplay data is shared with Google:

• Achievement progress and unlocks
• Leaderboard scores (daily points, lifetime correct answers, longest streak)
• Gameplay events (chapters completed, questions answered, daily challenges completed)

This data is associated with your Google account and is used to power the Play Games experience (achievement badges, leaderboard rankings, and the Play Games player profile). It is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can manage your Play Games data and profile through your device's Google settings, or by visiting play.google.com/games.

Local Notifications

WoofIQ offers optional daily reminder notifications to help you maintain your play streak and remember daily challenges. These notifications are:

• Opt-in only: Notifications are disabled by default. You must enable them in the app's Settings.
• Entirely local: Notifications are scheduled on your device using Android WorkManager. No notification data is sent to any external server.
• Permission-based: On Android 13 and above, the app requests the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission before sending any notifications.
• User-controlled: You can disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings or through your device's system notification settings.

Ad Personalization

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:

• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
• iOS: Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising > Turn off Personalized Ads

Children's Privacy

WoofIQ is designed as a general audience app suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app does not collect any personal data directly, there is no children's data to protect beyond what may be collected by our advertising partner (Google AdMob), which is subject to Google's policies.

Data Security

All trivia content and gameplay progress are stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data. Any data shared with Google (through AdMob or Play Games Services) is managed by Google and subject to their security practices and data retention policies.
